Dear Colleague, Dear Partner,
The 49th Congress of the European Group on Atomic Systems, EGAS 49, will be held 17th – 21st July 2017 in Durham (United Kingdom) focussing on recent breakthroughs in atomic and laser-based research.
The EGAS conference is the longest running European Conference series on Atomic Physics and is recognised as a ‘brand’ across the world. As a consequence, the best scientists in the field attend, which in turn, guarantees high attendance. The conference is expected to attract 200 to 250 participants based on past conference attendance. Although predominantly attended by European researchers, there is some participation from North-America, the Middle-East, Asia, and Australia.
The meeting will consist of approximately ten plenary talks, ten invited speakers, thirty contributed talks and two poster sessions spread over three and a half days. A detailed outline of the Scientific Programme is available here.
The EGAS conference series encourages collaboration between international scientific research groups working on atomic systems and related fields. By providing an annual conference of high scientific quality at differing host institutions, contact between laboratories can be established and maintained. Participation of early researchers is encouraged as there is great opportunity to network with senior researchers in the field and to work in other laboratories.

Owing to the number of participants attending from world-wide institutions, EGAS 49 is a great opportunity for your company to raise your international profile amongst an important sector of your target market. You will have the opportunity to present your products, network with researchers to gain an understanding of what is in high-demand, and also lacking, from your brand, as well as gather sought-after contact names and email addresses.
We hence invite you to participate and support the 49th EGAS congress and contribute to renew the success of previous years.
