The European Physical Society (EPS) has issued grants to support the participation in the EGAS 49 conference young researchers holding a PhD degree. The conference organisers will award an amount not exceeding 350 EUR to three recipients to support travel and local expenses and will waive registration fees.

Applicants must have received their PhD within six years (or equivalent after adjusting for part-time working or career breaks, etc.) prior to their application and must present a contribution at EGAS 49. Applicants must be studying or working at a European Institution and must demonstrate that there is no possibility of funding their participation at EGAS 49 through other sources.

To enter the competition the applicants must submit by email to no later than the 1st May 2017 the following documents: a letter of motivation; a scanned PhD award document and a scanned document confirming their current affiliation to a European academic or scientific institution.

Applicants will be notified of the results of the competition by email.
